Ejo Labs at Youth Connect Rwanda Germany 2026

Ejo Labs attended Youth Connect Rwanda in Germany, where young Rwandans affirmed their role in building Rwanda’s future.

From June 19 to 21, 2026, Hamburg hosted the second edition of Rwanda Youth Connect Germany, bringing together young Rwandans from across Germany around a shared ambition: strengthening identity, building skills, and contributing to Rwanda’s development.

Held under the theme “Rooted. Growing. Thriving.”, this year’s edition highlighted a committed generation determined to build bridges between their host country and their country of origin.

Ejo Labs was glad to attend and participate in the gathering, joining conversations on how technology, collaboration, and diaspora-led initiatives can strengthen the link between young Rwandans abroad and Rwanda’s future.

One distinctive feature of the event was that it was coordinated entirely by young people themselves. That gave the gathering a strong sense of ownership and showed the community’s ability to mobilize peers around shared goals.

Some participants travelled hundreds of kilometres to attend, with several spending more than six hours on the road to reach Hamburg and reconnect with fellow Rwandans living across Germany. Beyond the conference itself, the event created space to meet, expand professional and social networks, and strengthen ties within a community spread across a large country.

Rwanda Youth Connect Germany 2026 showed that beyond geographical distance, a united, organized, and deeply rooted generation can become a powerful force for national development.
